Download HmmSearch Browser 2.0.0

A real open-source Chromium build with HmmSearch wired in as its search engine. Same engine as Chrome and Edge, no Google services, your own search in the address bar.

What changed in 2.0.0

It is Chromium now, not a wrapper The engine is ungoogled-chromium 157, the open-source Chromium fork: tabs, extensions, PDF viewer, printing, devtools, profiles, hardware video, passwords. Everything a browser is supposed to do exists, because it is the same engine Chrome runs on.
Your search engine, in the address bar HmmSearch is the default search provider through Chromium's own policy (DefaultSearchProviderSearchURL). Typing anything in the omnibox or on the new tab page searches your engine, and the home button opens it.
Most visited, properly The new tab page is Chromium's own, so the Most visited thumbnail grid is real and fills itself from your browsing.
Nothing hidden Ungoogled means no Google telemetry, no background service calls, no safe-browsing phoning home. Your profile lives in %LOCALAPPDATA%\HmmSearch\profile.

Install — one command

Open PowerShell (no admin needed), paste this, press Enter. It downloads the 11 parts, joins them, verifies SHA-256, installs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\HmmSearch, sets HmmSearch as the search engine, makes a desktop shortcut and starts the browser.

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -NoProfile -File "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\HmmSearch-Setup.ps1"

Save HmmSearch-Setup.ps1 to your Downloads folder first (right-click → Save link as), then paste that line. It uses the full path, so it works from any folder — you do not need to cd anywhere.

Windows will warn you the first time. That is expected.
HmmSearch is self-built and has no publisher certificate, so SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” when the script or the app starts. Click More info, then Run anyway. To be sure the file is the one published here, compare its SHA-256 with the hash below.

Checksum

Reassembled archive HmmSearch.zip — 193,740,257 bytes, 11 parts:

Manual install

If you would rather not run the script: download all eleven .partNN files into one folder, then in cmd.exe:

copy /b HmmSearch.zip.part01+HmmSearch.zip.part02+HmmSearch.zip.part03+HmmSearch.zip.part04+HmmSearch.zip.part05+HmmSearch.zip.part06+HmmSearch.zip.part07+HmmSearch.zip.part08+HmmSearch.zip.part09+HmmSearch.zip.part10+HmmSearch.zip.part11 HmmSearch.zip

Then extract it to %LOCALAPPDATA%\HmmSearch, make a shortcut to chrome.exe inside that folder, and — to get HmmSearch as the search engine — add the policy keys listed in HmmSearch-Readme.txt inside the install folder.

Uninstall

Run Uninstall-HmmSearch.ps1 from the install folder, or delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\HmmSearch plus the shortcuts and run reg delete "HKCU\Software\Policies\Chromium" /f. Nothing is written anywhere else.
